As the heads of Forestry England’s two National Tree Collections (Bedgebury National Pinetum and Westonbirt Arboretum), we’d like to extend a formal invitation to you to become part of the Expert Council that will support and advise the National Tree Collections Insight Project.

This important project will enable us to develop a deeper understanding of the National Tree Collections’ potential to support young people through their journey to adulthood. It will also lay the foundations for the development of a National Tree Collections Strategy for Young People, which will be a significant step forwards in learning and participation for both Bedgebury and Westonbirt.

The Expert Council will play a key role in providing an external, independent perspective during the project. By acting as experienced, insightful ‘critical friends’, Council members will ultimately help us to fully unlock the potential of the National Tree Collections to support young people.

Your input would be hugely valuable as part of the Council and we hope that, having read the following terms of reference, you will want to support us with this exciting project. You can find the member agreement here.

Deadline: Monday 11th April 2022
